Privacy Policy – Fiona Drummond
Who I am
This website, fionadrummond.uk, is run by Fiona Ormerod trading as Fiona Drummond, based in London, UK. I am the "data controller" for the personal information described in this policy, which means I decide how and why it is used.
You can contact me at hello@fionadrummond.uk.
What information I collect
I collect only what I need to respond to you and run my training business.
If you use the contact form: your name, email address, organisation (if you give it), the type of training you are interested in, and your message.
If you book a free consultation: the details you enter on the Google Calendar booking page, such as your name, email address and the time you choose.
If you email me or contact me another way: your email address and whatever you tell me.
If you visit the website: technical information such as your IP address, browser, device, the pages you view and how you arrived, collected through cookies and similar tools (see "Cookies and website analytics").
If you attend one of my sessions: photographs or silent video, only with your written consent, which I ask for before the session.
I do not ask for sensitive information such as health details, and I do not sell personal information.
How and why I use it
UK data protection law requires me to have a lawful reason for using your information. Mine are:
To reply to your enquiry and arrange a consultation. This is at your request, and it is in my legitimate interest to respond to people who contact me.
To deliver training you have booked. I need your details to carry out the agreement between us.
To keep the website secure and understand how it is used. This is in my legitimate interest in running a safe, useful website.
To keep business and tax records. I am legally required to keep these.
To use photographs or video of you. I do this only with your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time.
I will not add you to a mailing list or send you marketing emails unless you ask me to.
Who I share it with
I do not sell your information. I use a small number of services to run the website and my business, and they handle information on my behalf:
Squarespace hosts the website, receives contact form submissions and provides website analytics.
Google provides the booking page and my email service (Gmail).
Some of these providers process information outside the UK, including in the United States. Each one has its own privacy policy and safeguards for those transfers, which you can read on its website.
I may also share information if the law requires it.
Cookies and website analytics
Cookies are small files stored on your device. This website uses them to work properly and to count visits: how many people come, which pages they read and where they arrive from. Squarespace provides these tools.
When you first visit, a banner lets you accept or decline cookies that are not essential. You can change your choice at any time through that banner or in your browser settings.
How long I keep it
I keep information only as long as I need it.
Enquiries that do not lead to work: 12 months after our last contact, then I delete them.
Clients: 6 years after the work ends, for accounting and tax records.
Website analytics: for the period set by Squarespace.
Photographs and video: until you ask me to stop using them, or until I no longer need them.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
ask for a copy of the personal information I hold about you
ask me to correct anything that is wrong
ask me to delete your information, or to stop using it
object to how I use your information
ask for information you gave me in a portable format, where that applies
withdraw your consent at any time, where I rely on it
To use any of these rights, email me at hello@fionadrummond.uk. I will reply within one month.
Contact, complaints and changes
If you have a question about this policy, email hello@fionadrummond.uk.
If you are unhappy with how I have handled your information, please tell me first so I can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
I may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page.
